Shopping for the best price

Hello!

So I just went through this long issue with 'The Source" for a GPS device for my dad for christmas. To sum it up; stores suck, try your best to get the best price you can becasue all stores will try to screw you too.
That said, some employees at the stores can be kind and helpful, but in the end they can only do what the company lets them do. It is their job.

So, here are some sites to help find the best prices all over the internet!!
Most look like they are only for the US :( but I will keep looknig for Canadian ones.

Looks like it is only for american sites. Go there and ask them to make a Canadian site too! I did :D

Quotes

Being a geek and someone who enjoys thinking, I really like good geeky quotes. The ones I like best are quick but whitty ones (think of the TV Show 'Pushing Daisies', but more geeky). Anyway, here are a ew on the best quotes I have found. Maybe I'll add more later...

"10 GOTO 10"
"A closed mouth gathers no foot."
"A penny for your thoughts; $20 to act them out."
"Be nice to your kids. They'll choose your nursing home."
"Hey Santa, how much for the list of naughty girls?"
"I like it better in the dark"
"I want to die in my sleep like my father, not screaming like his passengers."

"It is sad how a family can be torn apart by something as simple as a pack of wolves."
"A smile is a curve that can set a whole lot of things straight."
"A smile is a powerful weapon--you can even break ice with it."

Lastly, the quote that inspired my address for the blog:
"My software never has bugs. It just develops random features."

People can't drive (in winter)

I just wanted to get this out there. People can't drive in general too, but winter is the worst. If you don't get snow, you should try going somewhere with it and go for a drive. It is fun, but sometimes unpredictable.

If you are afraid to drive in the winter do one of these things:
1. Don't drive... take a bus or some shit. Get a friend or family member to drive.
2. Buy something with 4x4/4WD/AWD, please
3. Drive slower.... but please do it when no one else is on the road, and stay in the right lane when not making a left turn.
4. Live somewhere that doesn't have snow/ice.
5. Take lessons. Yes, winter driving lessons. My aunt did it and she loved it. She is kind of a technical person (for someone in a non-tech field), so that may be part of why she enjoyed it. But you also learn lots from what I hear.
6. Get winter tires at least!

Note: 4x4/4WD/AWD does NOT help you stop any faster/better! (technically gearing down can, but that is only at higher speeds and not very fast).

Blog!

OMG, I have a blog!

I really didn't like blogs at first. Well... really just journals, and that was in school :P
But here we are; you, me and the interweb.

I am sure that I will forget to post here a lot of the time, but i know that when something pisses me off, I'll come back to write about it. I really want to use this a method of telling other people things that are stupid, things that suck and what you should avoid. Sometimes there may be something positive, but that is likely to be rare at best.

Please enjoy!
