DataPlay?

You ever heard of DataPlay? I had not.
The story of it's life (or lack of) seems alot like Sony's MiniDisc (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minidisk).

DataPlay had some DRM built into the disk (and players), and the musi industry wanted to make it the new media of music.
